What the site itself collects
The pages set no cookies and use no local storage. The site runs no analytics, advertising scripts or tracking pixels, and it has no accounts, comments or sign-up forms. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the pages.
The Wipe Finder
The Wipe Finder loads one JSON data file from our own server and filters it in your browser. Your selections are not sent anywhere.
Server logs and Cloudflare
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which typically record your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type. They are used for security and keeping the site running. We don't use them to identify you, and we don't control how long the host keeps them.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery and security service. Cloudflare processes each request (including your IP address) to protect the site and serve pages faster, and it may set strictly necessary security cookies. Its handling of that data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Third parties, including Amazon
Third parties, including Amazon and other advertisers, may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on visitors' browsers. On this site that happens when you follow a link to Amazon or another external site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; doing so may affect how other sites work for you.
Amazon links
When you click a link to Amazon, you leave our site and Amazon's cookies and Amazon's own Privacy Notice apply. Amazon sets its own cookie to record that you came from our link. We neither set nor read it. We don't see your Amazon account or what you buy beyond what Amazon reports to us through the Associates program.
Other outbound links
We also link to makers, veterinary sources and retailers. When you click, that site may see that you came from petwipesguide.com, and its own policy applies.
IndexNow
When we publish or update pages, we tell participating search engines through the IndexNow protocol. The message contains page URLs and our public site key, and no visitor data.
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you send. We use it to reply and to check corrections. We don't sell it or add you to a mailing list.
California privacy rights
We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are used in the CCPA and CPRA. If you are a California resident, you can ask what we hold about you, which is usually only an email you sent, or ask us to correct or delete it: [email protected]. We will answer within 45 days, may ask you to confirm the email address you wrote from, and will not treat you differently for asking. An authorized agent can write on your behalf. We may not be a "business" under the CCPA, and we follow these practices anyway.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors, so there is nothing to opt out of. Browser signals such as Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control get the same treatment as any other visit.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we add analytics, advertising or anything else that collects data, we will update this page first and change the effective date.
